The North District with its head quarter at Mangan is headed by the District collector who is in charge of the overall administration of the district and co-ordinates the functioning of all other state government department departments and PSUs within the district.

The office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chungthang is the in Charge of overall administration within the Sub Division. Sub Divisional Magistrate works under the supervision of District Collector , North office and report to him directly.

The office of BDO and SDPO is in SDM complex. It ensure batter coordination among all three main offices.
